See All10 Reasons Supernatural Season 16 Would Be A Bad Idea
I agree with the reasons why Supernatural should not be put back on the small screen. I also do not want 6, 8, or 10 episodes per season. The current shows with half the time of regular television shows are exasperating. Then one has to wait one to two years for the show's return. To hell with that! Supernatural requires a full season with the current run time minus commercials of 39 to 41 minutes.
I think the unknown showrunner as of yet should take a cue from The X-files. Make a 2 to 2-and-a-half-hour movie instead based on one story or theme. For instance, things appear to be great in the afterlife. So, wonder if some malevolent evil was able to invade or break through the afterlife/heaven and threaten all that is supposed to be good and safe? Who's up for the job to stop said evil? Sam and Dean of course. I think they should keep the brothers in their current timeline because they can't go back. And any story writers may create based on their lives as mortals would be cheezy and ridiculous. One fabulous, fantastic movie one last time. Then lay our beloved Supernatural to rest. It's time to let go as much as I and the fans don't want to but that's life. Except for Law and Order Supernatural has been the longest-running series on television in their respective genre. Even The X-files can't beat their success.
Supernatural's 2025 Return Tease Confirms The Perfect TV Head-To-Head Could Actually Happen
If Jensen and Jarod are on board so am I. I watched all 15 seasons at least three times since the show ended. However, the writers will have to turn the season-ending into a nightmare scenario or some other quirky story to explain how our heroes are both dead. Dean died early on while Sam lived for years having a son and dying of old age. Now both are in the afterlife. Hmm.....the writers will have to give a comeback a lot of thought.
I was also a Buffy fan but Buffy the Vampire Slayer began in the 1990s. All the actors were very young except maybe David Boreanaz. David will have to come back as well otherwise the show will be incomplete. Since he's a vampire I don't see a problem there. Buffy was a teen horror drama but I saw no similarity to Buffy versus Supernatural. Supernatural had two grown brothers - men, not teenagers.
Also Buffy was a melodrama, whereas Supernatural was a serious supernatural drama with adult themes. Since I'm a mature fan now Supernatural has my vote, but I'll probably end up watching both if Buffy's original actors return who are now grown and the show has a deeper more mature theme.
The Winter King Season 2: Cancelation & Everything We Know
Yeah, why cancel a show with an 8.5 rating? Makes no sense.
The Winter King is free online but you'll have to find it. By law I cannot divulge the links otherwise this comment will be pulled, and deleted.
