WOW! With gambling being a major health problem, causing suicides and more addictive than the Fentanyl Crisis, this story should get better coverage, AND, I have a LOT of respect for James choosing to sit this one out. He's an itted PROFESSIONAL sports gambler, so although- that may NOT be the reason he's choosing to sit this one out. But he could be downplaying the problem by choosing that title: "Professional Sports Gambler" instead of itting the truth to himself which is actually "highly addicted sports gambler." If this is really the truth, Then Jeopardy should start posting disclaimers before and after the show with the health risks associated with gambling and how to get help for it. To me, it's VERY TELLING that they're not releasing the reason he declined the invitation for this year's tournament. I truly hope that he's not a statistic, but if he is, he's this is a good sign that he's on his journey towards healing. It sounds like he's wanting to come back, so he may be in deep and not know it, and shame on Jeopardy for not recognizing the signs and trying to get him help; instead caring more about their ratings.

Once again I accidentally discovered this thru channel surfing and HBO delivered (see DUNE Prophecy) I was a bookworm/nerd girl and can't believe I wasn't exposed to this but at 62yo better late than never. I ❤ it. My biggest complaint is that HBO broadcasts Episodes way late into the night, well after 10PM, when folks are tired and way past their medications and bed times. The last episode should Air at 9PM. This is a delightful story. Stunning scenery, costumes, well written, acted, special effects. I'm not a sci-fi reader, but am quickly becoming a sci-fi fan with the quality programming of HBO.

I don't understand why the series disappointed. I'm addicted. I've watched it several times over, up to memorization. I ❤ everything about it. I found the movie disappointing after watching the series. Watching Lila as Dorotea is comical. IDK how the actress played it with a straight face. It's clear the genetic predictor wasn't entirely destroyed because it's clearly a factor in the movie. Definitely looking forward to S2, would like to see it tie closer to the movie, and wish the nerds would just be quiet. I now have a cosplay idea, Bengeseret. I read the books long ago. IDK if I want to read again, doubt if series will match books.
