I don't particularly mind the "old" SFX, but I can sympathize with those who do want to see Toei do better. However, the animator in question was being highly unprofessional in calling out his co-workers on Twitter of all things and being so disrespectful. Maybe he has a point, but that doesn't excuse his rudeness.

You mean... AP style? You must've not read much news in the past half century because that's just what it reads like. AI reads like that because it's copying the most common style of news print on Earth.

I can't speak for the quality of TBHX but non-Japanese anime has been getting better and better over the years. Avatar opened the floodgates two decades ago. Not everything that comes out of China is very good yet(anyone Dragon Raja?) but even just having competition will be good for the industry.

I think people need to stop trying to put Legends into a box like there's any kind of pattern you can construe from a one game and a few trailers. "Legends" is basically just "Gaiden", lit. "Side Story".

I think when everything pans out, Legends is going to be two things:

-expanding side stories from the original games. Sinnoh had a lot of themes about its distance past so get hit Arceus, and now we're getting ZA that finishes what XY left off without any expansions.

-A testbed for experimental mechanics.

Every Legends is going to be different. It's never going to always be set in an alternate time. It's never going to play with mechanics the same way. It's never gonna play the same.

I can't speak for the quality of the anime, and basing aspects of your world and character building on technological concepts is cool, but...
