"It's Unprofessional": One Piece Animator Sparks Debate After Calling For Some of the Anime's Team to Be Fired
I don't particularly mind the "old" SFX, but I can sympathize with those who do want to see Toei do better. However, the animator in question was being highly unprofessional in calling out his co-workers on Twitter of all things and being so disrespectful. Maybe he has a point, but that doesn't excuse his rudeness.
"It's Unprofessional": One Piece Animator Sparks Debate After Calling For Some of the Anime's Team to Be Fired
You mean... AP style? You must've not read much news in the past half century because that's just what it reads like. AI reads like that because it's copying the most common style of news print on Earth.
To Be Hero X, China's New Flagship Anime, Is So Good That It's Becoming a Problem For Japan
I can't speak for the quality of TBHX but non-Japanese anime has been getting better and better over the years. Avatar opened the floodgates two decades ago. Not everything that comes out of China is very good yet(anyone Dragon Raja?) but even just having competition will be good for the industry.

Oh man you're right. While we're at it we should stop calling the slop Japan cranks out "anime" as well and only give that title to the good stuff
It Feels Like Pokémon Legends: Z-A Has Completely Forgotten What Made The Series Great
I think people need to stop trying to put Legends into a box like there's any kind of pattern you can construe from a one game and a few trailers. "Legends" is basically just "Gaiden", lit. "Side Story".
I think when everything pans out, Legends is going to be two things:
-expanding side stories from the original games. Sinnoh had a lot of themes about its distance past so get hit Arceus, and now we're getting ZA that finishes what XY left off without any expansions.
-A testbed for experimental mechanics.
Every Legends is going to be different. It's never going to always be set in an alternate time. It's never going to play with mechanics the same way. It's never gonna play the same.
As Anime Labor Issues Grow, Code Geass and One Piece Exec Worries for Japan: "We Will Inevitably Fall Behind"
I can't speak for the quality of the anime, and basing aspects of your world and character building on technological concepts is cool, but...
NFTs? Really? God I hope your prices crash because that can't be healthy for the industry.
Pokémon Has Tricked Me 3 Times In A Row, But I Won’t Let Legends: Z-A Get Me Again
I agree with a lot of points here, but I'm willing to give ZA the chance to prove itself before I decide to buy or not. Nobody waited for SV to shake and it bit us in the behinds. This time, wait until the verdict is drawn.
That said, complaining about Pokemon graphics is silly. Yeah it could be better, but it's just stylized
Will Pokémon Legends: Z-A's new battle style be a permanent thing throughout the whole game?
It'll probably be the same as the way through. The Legends series is experimental at it's core it seems, so it might not be for you if you come to the games for the battle system.
I for one greatly look forward to the changes. IMO the core battle system is boring AF. The games are still using the same basic battle system invented almost three decades ago, and they haven't made any serious/lasting updates to the system in two decades. It's stale. Try the new game, it's a spin-off anyway, not mainline.
James Gunn's Recent Comments About Why Superman Bleeds In The Movie's Trailer Have Me Convinced He Truly Understands The Iconic DC Superhero
Honestly the last two live action interpretations of Superman on the big screen were pretty bad. Cavill is a good actor, but the role he was asked to play was drawn up by somebody who didn't understand Superman at all, and 'Man of Steel' was a wet paper bag of a movie.
Honestly I trust Gunn. He's proven time and time again that he knows how to write and direct these kinds of movies. If I'm wrong and it's bad? Then it's bad, so be it! But we're getting the chance for the first good Superman movie in a long time, and bring pointlessly pessimistic isn't helping anybody.
Sony Is Locking Down Its Bid to Buy Kadokawa As the Anime Industry Faces an Emerging Monopoly
That's a remarkably naive view given both Sony's history and megacorps in general. They WILL use this to harm competition. It's not a true market monopoly, but it's close enough to cause a lot of damage to the industry. They'll use this to control the industry for sure. Nobody gets to make something thru didn't rubber stamp, and there are no "better options" for workers who aren't satisfied with their jobs.
