Mitchum's original role was as Old Man Clanton, a real cattle rancher who lived between 1816 and 1881. His part was written out after he sustained an injury after falling from a horse and could no longer act in the movie. Too bad, it would have been great to see him on screen.

Robby the Robot, the iconic robot from the 1956 film Forbidden Planet, was sold at auction in 2017 for $5.375 million, a record price for a movie prop. The robot is now owned by film director Bill Malone, the world's top collector of Forbidden Planet memorabilia.

In addition to Revenge of the Creature in 1955 Eastwood also played a fighter pilot at the end of the movie "Tarantula". You never see his face but the voice is unmistakable.
