Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal are just too good together in this. The buddy cop genre switch really works. It's super entertaining, funny, and thrilling. I'll take about 8 more of these please.

It’s not so much that The Electric State is bad - but it is. It’s just also so boring and uninspired

I’ve never played Minecraft, but the kids in the theater loved it which is what matters. But the only real fun I had was Momoa and Black’s bromance. If that was the focus of the movie, it could’ve been great. Instead, often bogged down by a familiar narrative and boring villain

Just a super duper solid and thrilling true story. Harrelson and Liu and Cole are all really good. Honestly pretty gripping and effective

The Monkey is gory pulpy fun. Some really good imagery with the monkey, and Theo James was actually pretty solid. Characters are just pretty thin and the amount it focuses on the origin/backstory really surprised me. But there’s some really fun (in a twisted way) death sequences and dark humor to keep it entertaining

The Gorge should’ve been a home run considering who is involved. Solid stuff from Teller, Anya, and Derrickson, but nothing special. Really think they could’ve shaved 10-15 minutes off this and helped a lot too

Still charming, but not quite as much. Antonio Banderas is having fun which is nice

Super charmed by Ferrell and Witherspoon. It’s got the hijinks to keep things light and fun
