I loved DS9. Casting, acting, script writing and directing were all first rate. Avery Brooks is in a league by himself. I miss Rene and Aron, James and Brock. I miss Jeffrey Combs and J. G. Hertzler. The writing was stale. Plot started out ok. But selling out to the Dark Side is already a very old story. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have it. These other writers don't.
I Really Hope Star Wars Hasn't Given Up After The Acolyte's Cancelation
I disliked The Acolyte for specific reasons, i.e. sluggish story development and the tired flip-flop of falling prey to the dark side after a promising start. I don't love what became of Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. I wanted something new and uplifting that explores possibilities for growth and advancement. Not ambiguity that blurs the line between good and evil.
