If they ever make a live action for Yugioh, I hope they create entirely new characters and an entirely new story detached from anything in the anime series. Otherwise, there's no doubt in my mind it will flop.

Yugioh's Waking the Dragons arc is one of the best filler arcs of all time. it added so much to the show. And the ending of Code Geass belongs nowhere near this list.

Full agreement with the Promised Neverland and SAO's Fairy Dance arc though.

I'm willing to bet a 3rd Smile movie would be a prequel, showing the origins of the disease/demon. If there's anything to connect it to Smile 2, it may be showing the outcome of the audience 'receiving the curse' (for lack of a better phrase), followed by a flashback to its origin (maybe by some survivors that escaped the curse?)

The virtual world arc was filler, not important to the main story. The main story is the Pharaoh's journey, and Kaiba just happens to be intertwined with it. Kaiba's effect on GX isn't kaiba being important to the story, it's just a way to keep the world connected/toss in a cameo.

As for 5d's, Kaiabcorp was mentioned one time in the dub only.

Izuku's dad isn't really important at all- it's just something the fans got way too excited about. Horikoshi's comment wasn't specific about where we'd see his dad, we could still meet him in an anime exclusive scene

Godzillo was a one-off joke in an early movie- all we know is that he's a godilla parody. There's literally no reason that character needs more screentime. Giulio was created for a movie that came out after the manga ended, so there's no room for him to have had more screentime. He's just a regular guy living happily win Anna by the end of the movie, so there's also no need for him to have more screentime. Geten had more time for his story to be explained in the manga, though it didn't add much to the overall plot.

In the dub, they actually took out the magic part and blamed his heart condition on the underground duels. If you watch the uncensored/undubbed season 4, you'll see that Zane's heart condition was only partially due to the punishments in underground duels. The main reason was because he was using the Cyberdark deck, which would damage the player.

So technically, this example is also dark magic

How are these plot twists? they're literally just parts of the story. A plot twist needs to change the entire trajectory of the main storyline. all these do is add details to it

A plot twist has to change what the viewer thinks they know about the story's plot to be considered a plot twist- most of these are just occurrences within the story. Hardly twists

It wasn't exactly a "leap of faith" moment in S&L. Jon was just confident in how he presented his powers. He wasn't overcoming some big emotional plotpoint- just having fun flying.
