The Handmaid's Tale
This story has been captivating since season 1 episode 1. Even the things that have been hard to watch are gripping because the cast is so incredible. Especially our beloved Elizabeth Moss who has been nothing but exceptional in everything she's ever done in her career. What a tremendous presence she has on screen. I'm absolutely loving this last season best of all, it's bittersweet to see the final season is the best offering to us the audience who have been waiting patiently. I've wondered if it's been in part to do Elizabeth's role as director that has improved the pace of things? I'll it I didn't fully appreciate a few of the episodes way back in the run that felt that they dragged on too long? While I'm always amazed at Elizabeth's ability to convey such emotion without words, too much of a good thing can be overdone? Favor cast are Serena, Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia. I've followed all of them in their careers and have loved everything they do. Not to say some of the other faces are unfamiliar or unworthy of praise. They're all good actors! I know I'm going to binge watch the entire season again once it's over. There's so much happening and it's easy to miss subtle things happening in any given scene, I'll often watch something I truly love twice and always see more the second time around. Thanks for bringing this amazing book to the screen for us to enjoy in a different way ! I can't believe there are only 5 episodes remaining? I'll definitely miss it.
Side note, I really enjoyed Elizabeth in the other streaming show she was in for only 1 season during the long period waiting for this to return, I hope that comes back? It was fun to see her in that role as a kick ass spy and not an abused woman fighting for her children and rights in a country where women have lost them ????
