Thunderbolts*
10/10

I loved it! It was funny, to the point of cheesey at a few moments, but a great movie. The story tackled the isolation many of us feel; the lack of self worth, but with levity and hope. It was awesome. Great effects. Great story. Best movie of the year as far as Im concerned.

Star Trek: Discovery

I binge watched it all in a week or so. I found the stories told to be interesting a fun. The throw to the future (well further future) was fascinating. Bringing back story from TNG was great. Id have rated it higher if theyd done the 7 seasons id came to expect from tng, ds9 and voy. It just ended too soon.

One of the best shows you will ever see. The characters are all colorful and well written. The world created is very detailed with its own history, traditions, and mythology. It really brought the world of Westros to life. I deperately wanted the story to continue after it was over. I had hoped for a spinoff that continued the characters storyline. Although as long as its been, it seems unlikely. I, as many do, didnt care for the ending. A few characters' directions seemed wrong. Although, when a show this great ends, its hard to imagine a satisfying ending. I have never met someone who watched this show, and didnt love it. If youre that last person who hasnt seen it, i envy you for getting to view it for the first time. Addendum: There is nudity and a lot of violence. This is a show for adults. The violence and nudity contributes to the character building. I want to use the word tasteful, but thats not right. It is integral to the plot. It is used to show the characters humanity, inhumanity, sanity, desires and brings the characters to life. It never seemed excessive to me, just part of great storytelling.

I really wish people wouldve accepted Roseannes apology. Shes a comedian. Sometimes the shock value of an illtimed or even offensive joke gets a bigger reaction than it deserves. The show isnt the same without her. I still love all the characters, even the new ones. The show offers depth and character development. The situations have always been easy to relate to and believable. I hope for continued spinoffs in the future. John Goodman is probably my favorite actor of the bunch followed by Sara Gilbert. Though everyone is truly great, especially in this show. The actors had a huge task in filling the hole left by the vacancy of Roseanne Barr. They met the challenge. Adding Peggy Bundy (Katey Segal) was also fricken great. I wish she had more screen time.. i wish they all somehow couldve.

It is one of the best series of all time. The charcters are memorable. The story is more like an epic or a saga once the war with the Dominion starts. Many would disagree, but I found this to be one of the most enjoyable shows ever. Im disappointed there isnt more use and continuation of the characters and story after this series ended. With so many series getting picked up 10 or 20 yrs later, i would be truly elated if ds9 and the denizens there of got to do a movie or season of what theyre doing now. There are some books that pick up after the show. Also i hate screenrants advertising nonstop popups while i txt. Boooo screenrant... boooo!

The show captures youth angst and issues. Personifying many teen dramatic/tramatic milestones with mythological creatures and supernatural powers. Tackling many issues from bullying, sexuality, drugs, etc with stories that fluidly flow to an interwoven tapestry, the show was a great watch the 1st time through, and again the 5th or sixth time through 20yrs later. A few episodes that really stick out were the silent episode HUSH, where no one spoke, despite having much to say to one another. Another, ONCE MORE WITH FEELING, the musical where the songs were central to the storyline and the characters were aware they were singing as a result of a summoning. Finally, how Buffys love interest Angel "changed" after her first fully physical romantic encouter with him, as he had 'lost his soul' as a result and was no longer good to her. Many issues tackled like relationship dynamics changing post physicallity were relatable because even if the issue of the week didnt happen to you, you knew someone it had. It is definite women empowerment, but ithe stories are so well told and interconnected that it never was pandering or cheesey. I wish there had been more spinoffs, though the show covered so much, it felt like there were still infinite possiblities
