I find it difficult to believe that the FF gets inroduced just to fail in its first mission (and movie). Isn't it more likely that the FF stop Galactus by sacrificing themselves, with that sacrifice being to be jettisoned from their universe into ours?

Like it or not, IMO the show runners have set up the impossible conundrum of how to save Pike because they have a plan to do exactly that when the show finally winds down (which I hope is after a seven year run and not five).

It was not THAT different of a time and the show was "problematic" the moment Lex and Clark become friends, i.e., from the start. Don't get me wrong, I religiously watched all 10 seasons when broadcast and again years later. But Lex had to atleast be a college graduate when becoming friends with Clark, Lana et.al. who had just started high school! Lana has a relationship with a a gym teacher! None of these relationships were influenced by magic or kryptonite and no one cared!

Every new announcement makes me cringe - that once again, what could be a great science fiction story (with super heroes) is going to be bad. Not only bad, but bloated in order to satisfy fans (I am ok with to some extent) but also to set up both Doomsday and Secret Wars. Just make a movie without worrying about sequels!!! I hope I am wrong.

I like to tell people who complain about the lack of "adult oriented" films in theaters that they are part of the problem, and rattle off a list of films that were in the theaters that they ignored. Thanks Warner Brothers for ruining my argument!

Since Marvel Studios claims to be reducing it output, it seems unlikely that there will be too many films debuting during the one year gap between Doomsday and Secret Wars, with only Spider-Man ⁴ currently announced. As another truckload of money enough to cure cancer is being paid to RDJ, it seems likely that Dr. Doom will be the only connective tissue, if any.
