These DC Heroes Need Their Absolute Universe Debut, Here’s What DC Should Change
The Absolute Aquaman sounds very interesting, because I have always thought Aquaman is more than an Atlantean tied down by the weight of leading a nation that causes him to be constantly pulled in two directions. Superman is not mayor of Metropolis. Thor is not king of asgard. Wonder Woman is not queen of Amazon Island. Those titles tie the heros down and limit them from the bigger picture of protecting the world around them and not just their small piece of it. Aquaman is lord and sovereign of over 70% percent of the surface and he needs to be shown doing more to protect the earth as a whole instead of handling mining issues or hosting royal banquets in Atlantis.
I Can’t Believe How Much More The DCEU’s Highest Grossing Movie Made Than Its Budget
You used The Numbers Box office instead of the more accurate Box Office Mojo which has Aquamans total box office run at more than twenty million over what you are reporting at 1.152 million total and a record breaker International box office for a superhero origin movie at over 816 million.
I Hate to it It, But DC Comics Is Disrespecting One of Its Best Heroes
Makes sense as they are a premiere power couple in DC, but if you expect DC to take care of Mera considering that they can't even treat Aquaman fairly or prominently in series outside of his solos then you haven't read a lot.
Aquaman as a character needs to be elevated in DC but especially in books outside of his solos, and then the combination of King and Queen can be linked together. Geoff Johns and Dan Abnett did great jobs of showcasing the both of them, but this is where Aquaman needs to shine as the prominent and premiere aquatic hero in DC. It never made sense to me that a hero named Aquaman had zero ability to control water.
Personally I'd like to see Mera a all female powerhouse JL team featuring Wonder Woman, Vixen, Hawk Girl, Black Canary, Zantanna, and Star Sapphire. If they can do a JL Dark they Can do a Justice League based on female heroes and give them a prominent platform to shine outside of the guys.
I don't believe that this will be long-term because how do you continue with fan favorite heroes who are completely or partially depowered such as Flash, Mera, and Martian Manhunter. This is used as a stepping stone and sooner than later they will receive their powers back and probably be more grateful for it.
What Gandalf Says To The Balrog In Lord Of The Rings (Meaning Explained)
Excellent comparison!
DC Reveals First Look at Absolute Flash, And It Features a Pitch-Perfect Easter Egg for Fans
I understand about a new outfit to go with a Absolute Universe, but this doesn't seem practical and it doesn't have a good look either. If you get rid of the SF then realistically you have to drastically reduce his speed from Fastest Man Alive to ONE of the fastest men alive. I'm not saying that I have a idea for what he should be wearing but this doesn't appeal to me. Hopefully the storyline will be good enough to cover over the suit.
Next Month Is Going To Be The Most Exciting Time For DC Fans In 2 Years
I don't think Gunn is going to have Aquaman in the DCU but if he were smart he would, simply because there was a desire from fans to see him. IF he should put Aquaman in the DCU hopefully it will be a serious version and a comic accurate version.
After 83 Years, DC Destroys Aquaman’s Kingdom in a Groundbreaking Change to His Status Quo
I've always wanted him to stop being king of Atlantis and focus more on being king of the Oceans because Atlantis was too small of a responsibility plus it's back and forth of kicking him out as King was getting under my skin. I think the Oceans as a whole should be his responsibility and as he said in Voidsong "this is my planet". The destruction of Atlantis is more than I would like, but I'm not against it if the storyline brings greater adventures to the character. Interesting premise..let's see where this goes. Tbh I'm just really glad that a Aquaman comic series is finally coming out after four years
Married At First Sight Season 18's Casting Choices Prove The Show Is Headed A New Direction
The last few seasons have been a joke and not meaning funny. The last one in particular was like having a bunch of spoiled rich girls totally into themselves and not having insight into the problem's that they themselves helped to cause.
I'm giving this last season one chance but based on the discription of what is happening it sounds like a continuation of the Denver season. If I want wanton drama with no reason I'll watch Jerry Springer. Unfortunately since maybe New Orleans we haven't had a quality season at all.
36 Years Before Saving Private Ryan, John Wayne Was In The Best D-Day Movie Ever Made
Private Ryan was a personal journey of a single platoon navigating through WW2.
TLD was an epic overture of many aspects and perspectives of the war and it was that deepening scope from land to air to sea, from to to Britain and America, all in their native languages that makes this my all-time favorite WW2 movie.
I Didn't Know Aquaman's Superstrength Actually Has a Really Cool Explanation Based in Science
Aquaman is a product of Hybrid Vigor, or a combination of two pair of genes that when combined are stronger than the originals.
It's the same reason why Hercules is called the strongest Olympian and why Wonder Woman is the strongest Amazon, the combination of two sets of genes making a being superior to either.
Now as far as ocean pressure think of Dragon Ball in which the Sayains practice under hundreds of tons of pressure and it builds up not only their strength but also their speed. Now this may not be "scientific" but this is probably closer to a real explanation than the short example Garth gave.
Arthur in the series Voidsong goes to the deepest place on the DC earth which is 60,000 below and moves so easily that it looks like he's just below the surface but in reality he is in a place where he has 4 million lbs per square foot on his entire body and again.. Moves like he's on the surface.
For all intents and purposes he's the strongest human on the planet while also being the strongest Atlantean in the sea and as he said in Voidsong book 3 he's the most powerful man under the sea. There is a reason why DC says his strength is comparable to Wonder Womans because in order to throw a 48,000 ton submarine from the ocean floor, 2.5 - 3 miles, to the surface and completely out as he did in the Geoff Johns New 52 series shows unequivocally how strong he is especially when you take into consideration that water is 832 times denser than air, so if he could throw a submarine weighing almost 100 million lbs through 3 miles of water then how far could he throw it on land without the drag and density of water to prohibit him?
Hybrid Vigor, the combination of two pair of genes that make the individual stronger and more durable than the originals.
10 Best DCEU Aquaman Moments That Prove Jason Momoa Needs To Be In The DCU
All valid reasons for him to be in the DCU not as a joke but as the king he is. I'm just not confident that James Gunn would treat Aquaman the same as Wan/Snyder did. As far as hero introductions Aquaman is one of the best on screen and probably the one that is the most underrated.
The Major Difference Between DC & Marvel is Made Clear by DC's New Time Traveler
The difference between marvel and dc is that dc focuses primarily on three heroes, their families, and their villians, and even in the team concept it's mainly about those three. DC cannot exist without these three heroes but specifically just two...and this is coming from a dc fan from the 70's til today .
DC Reveals The New Justice League Roster, & I Can't Believe These 4 Superheroes Are Now On The Team
No Aquaman no buy.
The New Justice League Should Be Led By One Underrated DC Hero (And I Know Exactly Why)
Easy to forget about Mr Terrific? Of course it is when DC focuses on just three heroes, their families, and villians more than anything else.
I've thought that for years, that Terrific would be a good candidate to replace batman as the strategist of the Justice League and I'll go as far as to say both Superman and Batman need to be Worlds Finest only and allow other heroes to shine.
Terrific instead of Batman, a mature Shazam instead of Superman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Flash, both Hawks, and Wonder Woman.
