Milly Alcock burst into stardom on House Of The Dragon and many more of its cast are beginning to receive acclaim and recognition for their performances. The show's predecessor, Game Of Thrones, also found major successes in its casting of unproven and lesser-known actors.

With four years since Game of Thrones' ending and many of its cast having been off the show longer, their careers outside the hit series have begun to develop. Focusing primarily on cast who were not well established in Hollywood before the series, their success can be measured by roles in popular movies and series, as well as awards earned.

Robert Aramayo

Rings of Power Elrond

Shifting from one fantasy role to the next is fairly common. For example, Sean Bean was known as Boromir in The Lord Of The Rings before being Ned Stark in Game Of Thrones. Now Robert Aramayo, who played the flashback version of Ned Stark, is playing Elrond in Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power.

Nathalie Emmanuel

Missandei on Dragonstone in armor in Game of Thrones

As Missandei in Game Of Thrones, Nathalie Emmanuel displayed an appeal that's continued to earn her roles in various films. Aside from The Fast And The Furious franchise, which she had already played in, the actress has had leading roles in Army of Thieves and The Invitation.

Though initially seeming like an antagonist, Rebecca's growth as a character has made her a beloved hero in the show. The feel-good comedy has earned her an Emmy and a SAG Award in only two seasons.

Jessica Henwick

Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones

Some good came out of the Dorne plot line in Game Of Thrones, as actress Jessica Henwick's role as Nymeria Sand gained her the recognition to build on her career. Paired with Game Of Thrones Star Finn Jones, Henwick appeared in two of Netflix's Marvel projects, Iron Fist and The Defenders.

Gwendoline Christie

Brienne-of-Tarth-in-Game-of-Thrones

There are few characters that stand out as much as Brienne of Tarth. Gwendoline provided an emboldened and strong performance, making her a Game Of Thrones character least like her book counterpart. As one of the few reliably good protagonists in a show filled with morally gray characters, it's been fun for fans to see Gwendoline perform in villain roles.

Christie played Captain Phasma in the Star Wars sequels, a role that she will likely continue to return to in the future, given the nature of that universe. More recently, she seemed to have fun playing Lucifer Morningstar in Netflix's hit, The Sandman.

Emilia Clarke

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) riding Drogon in the Game of Thrones episode The Dance Of Dragons (S5E9)

With a smaller amount of time to build her career, as Daenerys survived until the final episode, Emilia Clarke has made strong strides to kick off her post Game Of Thrones career. Then the Red Wedding happened. Since the ending, he's become a Game Of Thrones character who Redditors have started to find annoying during re-watches. Fortunately, Richard Madden's performance left enough of an imprint to get him more roles.

Since his death in Game Of Thrones, Richard Madden has earned a Golden Globe for Bodyguard and has had major roles in Eternals and Rocketman. The charming young actor has had multiple successful roles in a row and is still growing his audience.

Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones

Jason Momoa

Khal Drogo Giving His Gift To Rhaego Speech To Daenerys And The Dothraki

In the current world of film and television, becoming a superhero is one of the biggest accomplishments an actor can have. But to be the lead in a superhero film that earned over $1 billion at the box office is far and few between. Jason Momoa was a major factor in Aquaman achieving a feat that even Batman and Superman fell short of.

With a limited role as Khal Drogo in season 1 of Game Of Thrones, Momoa gained the notoriety to become a patented movie star. The actor continues to expand his career with roles in Dune, See, and he will be playing a role in Fast X.
